Blog Monday: The Truth Will Set You Free. But First It Will Make You Miserable. ~ Jim Davis

Blog Mondays are the newest craze.

Well, at least between three of us. My friends, Emily and Krista, and I have decided to blog each Monday about a brief topic, in an effort to encourage us to blog more often. As you can see, this is my first post to a blog that was established back in March. With my consistency rate so far, we'll see how these Mondays go. But I'm hopeful. So, seeing as there is only one hour and thirteen minutes left of this Monday... let's begin.

Topic: Last Three Movies Seen

1. Revolutionary Road
2. Frost/Nixon
3. Nothing But The Truth

(I'm more of a renter.)

Although these 3 movies just happened to be in order on our Netflix Queue, it's amazing how they all seem to be tied together by a common theme: The Truth.

I would highly recommend each of these movies, if you haven't yet seen them. If you have, then you know the way The Truth fits into each story. Although unique to each movie, in the end, The Truth is revealed by the main character, who had hidden it from everyone else until then.

I think each of these movies struck a chord with me, because The Truth is something that is so often not the first place of explanation in our society. As in each of these movies, The Truth does not come out until the end, after we've exhausted all of our options to cover up our fears, true selves, and selfdiagnosedinefficiencies.

I find it appropriate, too, that The Ultimate Truth will also be revealed in the end. Although there are some who know it now, it will not be fully understood until the end has come. And for this Truth, I am in most anticipation.

blessed by The Truth.
